For the longest time my home office was a mess.
Papers everywhere, ramshackle keyboards and monitors… The room itself was a distraction.
So I knuckled down, figured out exactly what I needed to stay productive, and I whittled it down to this list. Yours might look different, but take a gander… there might be something here that works for you too!

Nanoleaf Elements
Productive Lighting
These lights aren't only useful, they're beautiful too. They look good enough in my home office that I'm actually excited to go to work in the morning. Wild, I know. If you're going to spend all day focusing and sweating, it really helps having decor that makes you happy to be in the room.
Lighting: Nanoleaf Elements
Nanoleaf Elements set the mood for my day. When I need to focus, they can emit a cool white light. When I need to chill, I can leave it to a warmer tone. Otherwise, they rock a beautiful wood grain that matches my decor.
Typing: Keychron K1 Pro
A low profile, mechanical switches, and simple style make this keyboard one that I can happily type on all day long.
Home Base: Autonomous SmartDesk Pro
Being able to stand up while working has given me so much energy in the afternoons following a long day of sitting. A quiet motor, high load capacity, and high top height have made the SmartDesk Pro the perfect center of my home office.
Coming Together: Twelve South StayGo mini
This USB hub has been a useful home base for my iPad. I can charge it, get audio and video out, and transfer files over thumb drives.
Body in Motion: WalkingPad A1 Pro
If I can keep my body moving, I can keep my brain working. This excercise pad lets me walk while getting things done. Best of all, it folds up tidily under my desk when I'm done.
Connection: Belkin BoostCharge
Belkin has been super reliable for all of my cables. I especially like these braided ones they offer. The fabric adds protection and looks stylish.
Sound: Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless
Sometimes I need to close out all other distractions. These Sennheiser headpones have great active noise cancellation for doing just that. The sound quality helps me hear people on my calls perfectly, and jam out to my focus playlist afterwards.
Pointer: Logitech MX Master 3S
I'm using my mouse non-stop, so it has to be comfortable and precise. The Logitech MX Master 3S is easily the best one out there. It's got loads of options and a weight that feels just right.
Microphone: Blue Yeti X
If my calendar is going to be packed with calls, I want to sound good at the other end. Blue makes microphones that are well-known for their clarity and being easy to set up. A hardware dial gives quick access to your microphone levels.
A Raise: Oakywood Desk Shelf
I like to give my monitor a little lift for the ergonomics to work out. This shelf delivers on that front with a little panache. I really like that the company sources sustainable materials, too.
Seat: Nouhaus Ergo3D
Can't have an office without a chair, right? I'm a big fan of the Nouhause Ergo3D. It has ample lumbar and neck support, and loads of adjustments available for my size.
The Perfect Office is a Work in Progress
This is just the start! I've found that my office space evolves continually. This way I can make sure I'm adding what works and I'm ditching what doesn't.
One thing is for sure: I can't get enough of my Nanoleaf Elements lights.
They add natural lighting that can shift with my working rhythm. The software can work with Circadian timing, shift cool for times of focus, and go warm when you're relaxing. It helps that they look super classy too.
